Rhys Millen Racing Hyundai Equus Coming to SEMA

When you think about the upcoming SEMA show and Hyundai, the last thing that comes to your mind must be the automaker’s flagship sedan, the Equus.

However, it seems that Hyundai has a different opinion, as the company is planning to bring a Rhys Millen Racing(RMR) Signature Edition of the Equus to the Las Vegas event. The company has released a sketch of the upcoming creation and is offering us the details of the project.

"This is the third consecutive year we've partnered with Hyundai to bring a must-see car to the SEMA Show," said Rhys Millen, owner, Rhys Millen Racing. "The intelligent luxury platform of the new rear-wheel drive Equus is a perfect vehicle for tuners who have graduated from other segments and want to work with the best the automotive industry has to offer."

Let’s see what Millen actually wants to say. The premium saloon’s 4.6 liter V8 engine, which develops 385 hp when it leaves the factory, will be gifted with a RMR bolt-on cold air intake and stainless steel exhaust that will allow it to deliver 415 hp. The vehicle’s stopping power will also be upgraded, as the car will be fitted with a 14-inch brake kit. The car will ride on HRE 21-inch P40 rims.

As for the exterior, this will receive multiple RMR Signature Edition components, such as carbon mirrors, front lip and rear deck spoilers. The Equus will be dressed in a two-tone carbon fiber and Red Bull Racing blue satin clear paint by BASF.

The interior of the custom sedan will be finished in ostrich leather with suede accents and will feature RMR Signature Edition embroidered headrests and floor mats.
