Most rally fans know about the WRC, ERC and the Rally America National Championship. But the lesser known Red Bull Global Rallycross series is questionably just as entertaining as the big time series previously mentioned. In terms of marketing, the self-owned rallycross series certainly knows how to raise the hype surrounding the next race of the 2014 season.
Cue Rhys Millen, his souped up rough-and-ready GRC Hyundai Veloster Turbo and some pretty familiar Washington streets. You've guessed it, Millen and his Veloster are thrashing their way through DC to promote the next race of the rallycross championship, slated to take place at the RFK stadium on June 22th.
The 2-minute 20-second long video you can watch below features everything imaginable, from powersliding in front of the United States Capitol Complex to drifting a stone's throw away from the National City Christian Church and the Luther Place Memorial Church. Smoky stuff aside, a police escort is also on the menu just to add a little bit of law and order to the bonkers feat.
