Revving a Ferrari Indoors Is The Norm at The Monaco Yacht Show

You don’t need to be one of those who are attending the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show to know that, sometimes, a Ferrari can be cooler than your superyacht. At least when you’re looking for bragging rights.

Think about it - when you’re in Monaco, all the rich guys have yachts and supercars, so if you’re looking for the most cost-efficient way to show off, you should go for the Prancing Horse.

Also, showing your vessel to your new-made friends requires you to sit around the harbor all day. Not that the city is too large, but one may also want to attend events.

And when you go to an event, you won’t be able to take your megayacht with you. But you’ll be able to do that with your Maranello machine.

Before you point out that the Ferrari still needs to be left in the parking lot, allow us to contradict you. Yes, the supercar can be your friend even after you leave the parking lot and you don’t even have to take our word for it. The video below serves as proof for this.

The footage shows us a Ferrari 458 in its Spider incarnation being parked indoors. While the organizers were waiting for the guests to leave the vessels and come inside, the Ferrari put on a little revving show.

While none of the immaculate furnishings were affected, the scream of the naturally aspirated 4.5-liter V8 did make the entire area shake a bit, even reaching the yacht area outside.

Sure, doing this might seem like an exaggerated attempt to grab attention, but what can a poor owner do? It’s not like taking your key with you and displaying it is enough. For one thing, Ferrari keys look surprisingly cheap and it seems they don't go well with the fall/winter trends.
