Volvo and a research group formed by nine other European companies has developed the most amazing new technology we've seen in the green car industry this year.
Instead of conventional, heavy batteries, they've made carbon fiber body panels that are made from carbon fiber and combined with special polymer resin combine to create super capacitors.

The prototype technology is called Nano Battery Project and is a breakthrough in green technology. Volvo says that once you replace the doors, bonnet, roof and boot, their car would be 15% lighter, which is amazing.

The carbon-fiber and fiberglass sandwich can be recharged both from regenerative braking and plug-in technology. It can even replace the normal start/stop battery and the rally bar that gives structural rigidity to the front of the car.

Cars that have batteries made from body panels that pretty much drive themselves and have airbags for pedestrians – how isn't Volvo #1?!

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
