Revised Lexus IS Range Priced from Under GBP24,500

Th British division of Lexus released its revised IS range on the local market today, which includes the introduction of the new IS 200d with improved fuel economy and lower emissions than previous versions of the model, and priced from GBP24,350 on the road. On the other hand, the IS 250 starts at GBP25,260 and the IS 250C at GBP35,996.

The new IS 220d is equipped with the new 148 bhp and 340 Nm version of the 2.2-litre diesel engine that now meets Euro 5 emissions standards. The car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 10.2 seconds.

Combined cycle fuel consumption is 55.4 mpg (4.25 l/00km) and CO2 emissions are 134g/km, compared to 50.4 mpg (4.66 l/100km) and 148g/km for the previous IS 220d.

The V6 petrol engine featured in the IS 250 and IS 250C coupe-convertible with six-speed automatic transmission has also been revised to meet future Euro 5 emissions standards, achieving better fuel economy and CO2 emissions.

Focused of the styling changes is the F-Sport grade, which includes a new deep front spoiler with faired-in fog lights, new grille design and a rear spoiler with integrated stop light, while the 18-inch alloy wheels have a dark silver finish and black centre.

Meanwhile all IS models equipped with high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights gain LED daytime running lights and across the range there are new wheel designs, new rear light designs and a revised choice of exterior colours.

Revisions in the IS range also included improvements to the SE-I specification to introduce rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming electrochromic rear view mirror and a new leather upholstery with heated front seats.
