It is with sadness that we have to report the death of reputed motorcycle journalist Henny Ray Abrams.
Long-time Cycle News contributor and passionate motorcycle racing commentator, Henny Ray Abrams has been in the business since the 1970s. He has covered moto racing events with the same passion, regardless of their nature, from local hare-scramble events to interviewing some of the biggest names in the industry.

A honest writer and keen observer of the motorcycle world, Henny Ray Abrams passed at the age of 57, and while the official cause of death is yet unknown, natural causes seem the most plausible.

Cycle News Editor Paul Carruthers asked a New York friend to check on Abrams, as he grew worried being unable to get in touch with Henny Ray for a few days. Reportedly, this friend found Abrams dead in his Brooklyn apartment, slumped over his computer. It appears that he died while writing another story. Henny Ray Abrams will be missed by the motorcycle racing community.
