Repo Games TV Show in the Works

Repossession, as the official, romantic definition goes, is the act of a financial institution or such of taking back a good it financed, used as collateral, rented or leased. The definition, as we all know it, is the act of the guy who comes to take your belonging and tries to get away with his life.

Repossession is fun, but is also dangerous, two of the main attributes of a well-constructed TV show. And, apparently, this is what Spike TV believes, as news of it ordering the producers of Jersey Shore reality TV show for a repossession-themed show hit the web this week.

According to insidetv.ew.com, the new show, which will be called Repo Games, will follow two real-life repo men who came up with a solution to save both their lives and the debtor's possession – the cars.

Those caught off guard and late on their payments will be given a chance to get the vehicle paid on the spot provided they answer correctly three out of five questions. If they don't, the car will be towed away and the guy, surprised by the good will of the repo men, left with no chance of protesting.

The show will be, according to Spike, fun, similar in nature with Discovery's Cash Cab. What's really fun for us, John Does, is the fact that the show will not target only the poor bastard next door who thought he can afford an Escalade, but also celebrities who find themselves in a bit of a financial jam.

We'll get back on this story as soon as we learn more.
