The Australian tuning company RENM has taken on the challenge to upgrade one of the definitions of perfect automotive balancing, the E92 BMW M3.

The tuner has decided to strengthen the M3’s assets without using an extreme approach. This means that you get a refined M3 that comes with enhanced dynamics and a tweaked exterior.

Dubbed the M3 Agitator, the project was released this summer, but the company is now offering more details about it.

The German coupe’s 4.0 liter naturally aspirated engine, which delivers 420 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm, now offers the rear wheels 450 hp and 440 Nm to play with. The tuner highlights the fact that the program was not focused on offering peak power, but rather on offering a linear delivery across the rev range, with a special attention being paid to the lower to mid-range, in order to make the vehicle more friendly for everyday use.

The powerplant has been gifted with an ECU remap, a carbon fiber air intake, performance air filter and a high-performance exhaust system. The exhaust comes with racing-inspired technology that allows the rear silencer to ditch 12 kg (a 40 percent weight reduction compared to the standard part) and uses 76 mm tailpipes.

The Agitator is expected to be an agile creature, as it has been fitted with an adjustable suspension and a set of T6 forged lightweight three-piece rims.

The M3 Agitator’s body comes with a front lip spoiler, a custom boot lid and a rear diffuser that are made of carbon fiber.
