SEAT had plenty of opportunities to make a convertible buy hasn't done so, despite what the fans wanted. Part of the reason for this is that unlike with the Up! city car which has two almost identical brothers, VW never created a universal shape for the C-segment.

Though we seriously doubt it, this latest generation Leon would be the perfect car to make into a convertible.

It's got a light chassis that's also more rigid than before and two wheelbases to choose from, the normal five-door hatch and the SC three-door. Just like with the outgoing A3 Cabrio, SEAT could simply chop the roof off the car and make it a convertible.

Unfortunately, the Spanish carmaker is far too busy making its first crossovers, which are valuable both in Europe and in China. A replacement for the Exeo should also be a priority right now, which means this beautiful rendering has a very slim chance of turning into reality.
