Rendering: Facelift BMW E46 Compact

Despite being called all sorts of things and frowned upon during all of its existence,the E46 Compact wasn’t a bad car at all. Following in the footsteps of the original model (the E36), the follow-up had a controversial front fascia.

It’s instantly recognizable but that doesn’t mean it’s beautiful. On the road though, the TI (or Compact) had a sharper steering and a quicker rack, being manufactured from 2000 to 2004 but very unpopular.

Quite a shame, if you ask me, but since technically the Sedan, Coupe and Compact trio were the same and the latter had sharper steering, we have to presume that the low sales were due to the controversial design.

Expert photoshopper, Theophilus Chin imagined the Compact with a Sedan face, trying to figure out if it would’ve been more popular in this guise. I think, it might’ve been more successful. How about you?
