Rendering: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Shooting Brake

If 'jaw-tastic' isn't an officially recognized word yet, it should be. Admit it - the all-new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is spectacular by design and awe-inspiring performance-wise, but a shooting brake version is nothing less than spectacular even as a rendering.

Showing an interesting mix between the gnarly American muscle car persona of the most extreme Challenger yet and the elegant aesthetics of a shooting brake, the talented Hungarian behind X-Tomi Design is the man behind the very yummy rendering you can admire above.

Featuring a more Europeanized profile look, the body is now slightly longer than the production model, while the rear is dominated by very clean lines defining a square edge back window slanting at about 60 degrees. Needless to say, the different body style isn't just a thing to feast your eyes upon, but also offers a few hundred liters of luggage capacity over the shallow boot of the coupe.

Initially designed "to take gentlemen on the hunt with their firearms and dogs", this shooting brake is anything but that romantic automotive brouhaha of decades past, when drivers and cars alike were black and white only. Due to the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 under this beast's aluminum hood, what we have here isn't a car for lugging around your guns and dogs, but a highly capable 600+ horsepower jack-of-all-trades.

Still, is it sufficiently practical for a day trip worth of shopping at Walmart?
