Patent images of the 4-door version of the 2-door version of the 3 Series Sedan (quite confusing, huh?) were leaked this week and everyone jumped on them with various suppositions. One of the biggest questions on everyone’s lips remains whether this model will have a tailgate at the back or not, instead of ‘what is it?’.
The guys from Auofans.be created a rendering of how the new car might look like based on the patent images and the car looks… Like a 3 Series. They are not to be blamed though, but BMW that kind-of rushed into things, instead of going slower like they did with the 6 Series Gran Coupe.
You see, in that case, they took their time, introducing one model at a time, over longer time periods. That’s what guaranteed the success of the new 4-door 6er. This time, everything seems rushed and done in a hurry, confusing the audience even more.
Make no mistake about it, the Gran Coupe 4er will surely be a success but it might need some more time to do so. Let’s just wait and see what happens. Who knows, we might see an M version of this new model too.
