In the BMW 2 Series stable, apart from the Coupe version, we're also going to be looking at the Convertible model and, possibly, a Gran Coupe. Whilst some might wonder what makes the Gran Coupe different from the 3 Series, we're going over the cabrio, here.
The guys from RM.Design Blog created a first rendering of how a possible M235i Convertible might turn out like and it's looking professional. As is the case with the current 1 Series Convertible, its successor also has a soft top, unlike the 4 Series version but similar to the 6 Series.
The Convertible M235i would have less power than the range topping Z4 sDrive35is but it also has 2 extra seats and would be introduced at a better price than the E89 model, thus confusing the customers even more.
However, we do like the prospect and would be very interested in, at least, trying out the new drop top. All we have to do now, is wait for a possible unveiling, next year.
