French automaker Renault has just released UK pricing and specification for its electric five-door supermini ZOE model.
Available in three trim levels, Expression, Dynamique Zen, and Dynamique Intens, the ZOE has a starting price of £13,650 (€16,020), after UK Government Plug-in Car Grant deduction, plus a battery hire from £70 per month.
The low-priced Expression version comes with a long list of standard equipments and includes the "Range OptimiZEr" that Renault is very proud of. The new feature combines three innovations, bi-modal regenerative braking, a heat pump and Michelin Energy EV tires, and provides the ZOE with "the longest range of any electric vehicle in its class". This means 60 miles (96 km) in cold weather and 90 miles (144 km) in temperate conditions.
Besides the "Range OptimiZEr", the Expression trim offers Climate Control, Cruise Control, Chameleon charger, Econometer, Hill Start Assis, keycard or Renault Anti-Intruder Device (RAID). Priced at £14,750 (€17,311), the Dynamique Intens or Dynamique Zen trims add features such as bigger 16-inch wheels, hands-free keycard, auto lights and wipers, leather steering wheel or rear parking camera.
The options list consists of 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels, six shades of metallic paint, Arkamys 3D sound system ZE Inter@ctive, ZE Live Services and TomTom additional mapping for Europe.
