Renault is using a special marketing move to promote the summer launch of its two new drop-tops, the New Megane Coupe-Cabriolet and Wind Roadster.The carmaker has created an on-line reality show called “Very Good Trip”, which has now debuted. The show sees couples from the UK Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. The eight teams were chose be web users between April and May.
The pairs have until July 9 to cross Europe and accomplish almost 100 challenges with more than 13 hours of programming scheduled to go online on the show’s dedicated website.
Since April 7, www.verygoodtrip.renault.com has become one of Renault’s most popular sites, with 400,000 unique visitors before the game even started. The Facebook community has already attracted 5,500 fans and the campaign trailer watched two million times! The adventures of the candidates will also be featured on www.renault.tv and on Sky Guide 883 in the UK.
Web users can follow the teams’ adventures and vote for their favorite pair daily on the site. The most popular couple will be offered a New Megane Coupe-Cabriolet and Wind Roadster, together with the financial equivalent of a year’s fuel and insurance.
