Back a few years ago, Renault was adamant electric vehicles were the future. They said that by 2016, sales of the Zoe family of models would reach about 200,000. We don't think they're quite there, but at least some of their ideas make perfect sense.
We tested their Twizy EV more than a year ago and found it was a nice replacement for the typical large scooter, offering better protection from the elements and other road goers. Then Renault realized scooters are used for deliveries as well, so they launched the Twizy Cargo.
That car, clad with DHL logos, showed up this week at the 2014 Brussels Motor Show, packing in a full stack of boxes. While it's never going to be as efficient as a van, the DHS Twizy is pretty cool.
We weren't able to find official confirmation that DHL will use these EV for its delivery fleet. However, the two companies have collaborated before in the past.
