Customers who want a Twingo can now choose between six “civilian” equipment levels, and two Renault Sport versions. The Acces is the line-up’s entry level. This is followed by the Authentique, the Expression, the Rip Curl. In the upper level of the Twingo range we find the GT and the Initiale versions. For thrill seekers, Renault’s sport arm offers the R.S. and Gordini R.S. versions, powered by a 133 HP 1.6 liter engine.
The entry level model of the Twingo range will be equipped with the 60 HP 1.2 liter and will cost 7,990 euro, for the Acces equipment level. At the other end of the scale, we find the Twingo Initiale powered by the 85 HP dCi diesel unit, retailing for 17,000 euro. The Twingo R.S. can be yours for 15,900 euro while the Twingo Gordini R.S. will set you back 17,750 euro.
The main styling changes for 2010 include the extended availability of a bumper previously dedicated to the Dynamique and GT models, fresh panoramic exterior mirrors and a new Haircell leather upholstery for the Initiale version. The R.S. design pack, available for the Twingo R.S. has received a new body color, called Glacier White.
The Twingo engine range has also been improved, as three units have been modified to return improved fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figure. The 75 HP 1.2 engine now emits 114 g of CO2/km, the TC3 100 unit posts a CO2 emissions figure of 132 g/km and the sporty 133 HP 1.6 liter engine now emits 160 g of CO2/km.
The 2010 Twingos will be available starting from March for certain European markets, as well as South African and Japanese ones.
