Renault Twingo Gordini RS Rendering Is a Homage to the Past

Very few people know that the Twingo Gordini RS is a thing. It's the penultimate car in the Gordini range they put into production, back in 2010.
While it wasn't hugely powerful or impressive, the color scheme is undenibly cool. We tested a Gordini version of the Clio RS back in 2012. Its blue body and white stripes found their way into our hearts, so it would give us great pleasure to drive a Gordini version of the new Twingo.

Picking at Renault's brain has been really head the past couple of weeks. The French announced two debuts for the Geneva next month. One is the Twingo, the other some kind of version of the Clio RS. We believe it was the Monaco GP, but there's still a chance it's a Gordini model built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Renault 8 Gordini.

Here's hoping this is the year of the Gordini!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
