Renault Twingo Gordini R.S. Available for Order

Renault has just announced that the first model of the revived Gordini range, the Twingo Gordini R.S., is now available for order in France, with prices starting at 17,750 Euros. This basically represents a consumer saving of 940 Euros as compared to a similarly-equipped Twingo Renault Sport.

Exterior enhancements on the car include a Malte Blue metallic finish with two white racing stripes, similar to older Gordini cars. Additionally, the front and rear bumpers are painted in gloss black, while the foglamp surrounds, exterior mirror housings and lip spoiler are finished in white. Blue or black diamond-effect 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels are also available.

Inside, the vehicle comes equipped with Renault Sport seats with extra lateral support, Gordini badged leather upholstery, blue leather door panel inserts, blue and black leather steering wheel with two white stripes, blue gearlevel bellows and Gordini-badged gearlever knob, blue rev-counter with white surround and trimmed dashboard cowl with visible stitching.

There are also a number of options available, as follows:

  • Cup chassis - €450
  • Radio-CD with MP3 playback, steering wheel-mounted fingertip remote control, and Bluetooth and Plug & Music connectivity - €200
  • Curtain airbags - €250
  • Electric opening glass sunroof - €590
  • Without Gordini stripes (white stripes removed from bonnet, roof and hatch) - No charge

Other feature highlights include "Sport" chassis, independent, sliding rear seats, automatic headlamp and windscreen-wiper activation, extra-tinted rear glass, foglamps, Renault Sport kick plates, full-disconnectable ESP, cruise control with speed limiter and automatic climate control.
