The project, due to debut in June in the cities of Milan and Brescia, is the first electric vehicle experiment in Italy and will have a one year duration. It will allow individuals and corporate customers to test a fleet of 60 zero emissions Renault vehicles.
The models entered in the program are the Kangoo Express Z.E. light utility vehicle and the Fluence Z.E. saloon. They will be offered as monthly rental cars, at the cost of equivalent diesel-powered vehicles. A2A will provide a charging infrastructure in the two cities - this will total 270 charging points.
The companies aim to gather relevant data that will allow them to extend the program in the future or create similar developments.

This will be achieved through the deployment of advanced technologies, infrastructure tailored to users’ requirements, and an offering comprising both commercial and technical solutions. The aim is to deploy electric vehicles that revolutionize mobility and respect the environment, by emitting no CO2, and provide a practical service for motorists," said Jacques Bousquet, Managing Director of Renault Italy.
