Renault Talisman Teaser: It’s a Korean Sedan!

Renault teased a brand new car today, showing only a bit of the rear, which boasts a large ‘Talisman” nameplate and a long strip of chrome uniting the taillights. This is the same name they used for a 2001 concept, which has nothing to do with this car.
As Carscoop points out, what this actually represents is the rear end of the Samsung SM7 sedan, which was launched in the South Korean market last year. This is the Renault Samsung Motors’ flagship model, equipped with Nissan VQ engines.

We think that the fact that the Renault Talisman will debut at the Beijing Motor Show means it will be limited to the Asian market. The French already have way too many big sedans.
