Renault Shows Facelifted Fluence in Mexican Promo

The Megane is, and has been, a truly successful car for Renault. However, in some markets, where people prefer sedans, the French automaker began offering a Turkish-made sedan version of the MK II Megane, which sold very well in places like Romania, Russia, Turkey and other neighboring markets.
Now, the Megane sedan is dead, and has been replaced with the Fluence, a car based on a Korean car, the Samsung SM3. While it may not have been as appreciated as the old Megane sedan (which we say is a better looking car, as well), it still sells in reasonable numbers, and now, Renault have given it a minor makeover, to bring it in line with the rest of the range.

It features a revised front grille, headlights and bumper, as well as new designs for its alloy wheels. It also gets some minor interior improvements, the most notable of which is the shift from a conventional analog speedo, to a Megane-sourced LCD unit, which may not be to everybody’s liking.

We don’t really know if the European version will look exactly like this (as it doesn’t really follow the current design direction that Renault has adopted), but there is a big chance that Renault will unveil it at the Paris Motor Show, regardless of it being different or not.
