Renault has introduced the new limited edition Twingo Rive Gauche, a model that will only be marketed in France and Austria, with sales starting from June 10.
The vehicle comes with a Eiffel Tower theme and offers a wide range of comfort features, providing “an unmistakable link with the French capital and its legendary art de vivre.”
The Twingo’s exterior comes with Rive Gauche badges on the sides, Eiffel Tower motifs on the door pillars, door handles and foglamp housings. The car features a sport front bumper, black headlight backgrounds, front foglights and Pearlescent Black exterior door mirrors. The vehicle’s passengers can enjoy custom upholstery, a red theme for the rev counter and speedometer, as well as a red-ringed Organizer Box.
The Twingo Rive Gauche is based on the Expression trim level and comes with the following additional features:
- Automatic climate control
- Electrically operated and heated door mirrors
- Height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel
- Independent sliding rear seats
- Radio-CD with MP3 playback, steering column-mounted fingertip remote control, Bluetooth and Plug & Music connectivity and audio streaming
Customers can choose between two engines, a 1.2 liter petrol powerplant that delivers 75 hp and emits 114 grams of CO2/km and a 65 hp dCi diesel engine, which emits 113 grams of CO2/km, with both units qualifying for the French state’s EUR 500 eco-bonus subsidy. The new special edition of the Twingo will have a starting price of EUR 11,450 (with the subsidy deducted), with the order books already opened.
"There has always been a Twingo for all tastes. To avoid humdrum routine, Renault's feisty, practical and connected city car has been available in several attractive limited edition versions. Twingo Rive Gauche follows in the footsteps of Twingo Art Collection and Twingo Walkman Limited Edition, and targets urban dwellers looking to stand out from the crowd," stated the press release.
