Renault Receives Two Fleet Car Awards

We've all seen the Renault ads on TV that promote a lineup of cheap to run company cars. But all that promoting work is not just for show, as Renault has proven they have real fleet car credentials, scoring two awards at 2013 Fleet World Honours: Best Small Car and Technology Award.

The best small car to buy for your company is apparently the new Clio 4 hatch. Not only does it look good, but it also offers docent fuel consumption across the engine range.

“This was without doubt the hardest year ever for the judges. The industry has been undergoing substantial change for some time and we are now on the cusp of seeing the introduction of some really exciting new technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells and credible electric vehicles, alongside highly fuel-efficient yet desirable petrol and diesel powered cars," said Fleet World Managing Editor Ross Durkin.

Meanwhile, the ZOE electric city car that's built on the same assembly line in France received an award for being the biggest technological leap for “taking electric motoring to the mainstream”.

“ZOE takes the EV into the mainstream: a beautifully packaged and designed car with a price that is low enough to compete with more traditionally-powered competitors. Add in decent range, the free wallcharger deal and super quick charging and you have an electric vehicle that really makes sense,” Fleet World Editor Steve Moody.
