Renault has already announced that the Captur small crossover will be on display at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show in March. What the company "forgot" to mention is that the car could be accompanied by a second concept, which appears to be close to production, given the fact that it was filmed on the street while doing a few moves totally undisguised.
As always, Renault remains tightlipped when it comes to new models, so we can't tell you too much about it but, from what we can see in the video, we really doubt that the clip is just a video that reached the web without Renault knowing about it. Although the car was most likely there for a photo session, the video is most likely supposed to serve as some sort of teaser before the official debut of the car, probably at the Swiss show in March.
If we are to trust the existing rumors on the matter, the car you're seeing in the video will bear the name of "R-Space" and is going to preview a future model to be sold with the Renault badge. It could as well be the new Modus or it could enter the Renault lineup as a whole new vehicle, but more information will be revealed in a few weeks in Geneva.
autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
