Renault Names Stefan Mueller as Chief of European Operations

To counteract poor European sales, which which reportedly fell by 14.9%, to 708,131, compared to last year, Renault has decided to appoint a new head of European operations, which will have fewer attributions than the current holder of this position, Jerome Stoll, who is also in charge of their commercial vehicles division.

The man chosen to lead Renault’s European offensive is the current leader of the German motoring organization, ADAC, 51 year-old Stefan Mueller. After he takes charge, Jerome Stoll will concentrate solely on the French brand’s commercial offerings, and will be joined by Mueller in the executive committee, along with the company's other 'shot-callers'.

We have doubts that one man will be able to trigger a complete turn-around of European sales, despite the fact that Mr. Mueller seems more than capable of doing so, having worked in the motor industry his entire life, and for big names as well, like BMW, Ford, Audi and VW.
