Renault Kangoo TomTom Edition Launched

In love with the Carminat TomTom navigation solution for quite some time, French manufacturer Renault has released over the past few years a fair share of TomTom special editions of its models. In 2011, however, no such edition has been introduced. Until now, when Renault announced the market entry of the Kangoo TomTom Edition.

Just like all others before it, the Kangoo will feature several features which will make it stand out from the crowd of other Kangoos, the most important of which being the navigation package (in this case, Carminat TomTom Live).

The TomTom Live will offer buyers of this special version of the Kangoo access to all the maps of the European roads and large display screen integrated into the dashboard. Renault also says the new Kangoo TomTom will give owners access to IQ Routes, Tomtom HD trafic, location of mobile speed cameras, Google Local Search and even a weather service for those willing to pay for it.

Built on the Privilege version of the Kangoo, the TomTom edition also packs climate control, panoramic roof, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The model will be offered with three engine choices, to meet the demands of most possible buyers.

The entry level Kangoo TomTom is powered by a 1,6 16V 105 hp engine, capable of running on ethanol, and will sell for EUR20,150. The next version, the 1,5 dCi 90 hp, will be priced at EUR21,300, while the top of the range 1,5 dCi 110 hp will sell for EUR22,000. All three models come with low consumption figures and emission levels.
