Renault has just published official pricing info and a spec list for their Kadjar crossover, so if you're interested in buying one or just comparing, here's what the Frech model has to offer.
Captur's bigger brother made its debut some months ago in Geneva, where we were able to make first contact with the crossover. We weren't very happy to see that the interior was not refined enough, but maybe we had too high expectations.
For starters, the new Kadjar can be had for a base price tag of £17,995 ($27,578, 24,502 euro, at current exchange rates), but be patient because the C-segment crossover will only reach dealerships in September.
Also, the most expensive Kadjar is the Signature Nav dCi 130 4WD version, and this will remove around £26,295 ($40,302, 35,810 euro, at current exchange rates) from your bank account.
Renault is offering the Kadjar with four trim lines, namely Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S Nav and Signature Nav.
The three engines on offer are the following: a 1.2-litre turbocharged TCe 130 horsepower direct-injection petrol mill, the 1.5-litre ENERGY 110 horsepower four-cylinder diesel and the 1.6-litre ENERGY dCi 130 horsepower diesel.
Drivers can exploit the dCi 110 engine via an EDC automatic gearbox while four-wheel drive with three operating modes – Auto, LOCK and 2WD –is offered with the dCi 130, but only in upper trim levels.
The base Expression+ trim level includes an automatic electronic parking brake, front fog lights, LED daytime running lamps, tinted windows, the 7-inch TFT instrument panel with a digital speedometer.
For more demanding customers, the Kadjar can be had with the Signature Nav trim. Among other things, this equipment level offers 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, full LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, painted front and rear skid plates, cloth and leather upholstery plus a Nappa leather steering wheel.
