Renault has recently killed off certain models in its UK range due to the low demand, with the Laguna being one of the affected vehicles. Now it seems that the next generation of the car could take an entirely new form.
Renault UK’s head of design, Thierry Sybord, told autocar that the fate of the new Laguna will be decided over the next three months, hinting that the car could ditch the sedan from for a crossover one. The next Laguna is expected to come to the market in about three years from now.
"If the next-generation Laguna is the same as the current one, then there’s no way it will be a success in the UK," the executive told the aforementioned source “We are still thinking of a new kind of car, possibly a crossover.”
