French carmakers are on a bit of a roll right now. Renault’s little Zoe promises to be a true alternative for the petrol-powered superminis, while Peugeot is holding strong in the sales department. Their new B-car, the 208 is a looker and executives hope it will generate the sort of enthusiasm that the 206 managed.
But from what we gather, the biggest revolution is the new Renault Clio, which to be moving upmarket and upscale. The car has been spotted numerous times, partially revealing funky new headlights and a cool grille.

According to the guys at Carscoop, the new Clio will be officially unveiled as early as next week, on July 3rd. It’s motor show debut is, of course, still on schedule to take place in Paris this September, which could coincide with the market launch.

The new Clio will feature two new turbocharged engines - the 0.9 TCe, a three-cylinder with 90 PS, and the 1.2 TCe, which will offer 115 PS. but perhaps the biggest change will be the fact that the Clio RS will be offered with a 1.6-liter turbo and as a five-door car.
