Owners who choose the Expression and Privilege equipment levels will be treated with a fresh, light-colored “Distinction” upholstery. Those who want a Symbol and opt for the Authentique version, will receive a new two-tone “Trend” upholstery.
In addition to that, the entire Symbol range will offer chrome trimming details for the dashboard. The same material will be used on the air vents, loud speaker surrounds and also on the steering wheel.
Renault introduced the Symbol in 1999, as a saloon version of the Clio II. This name was used for the Turkish, Romanian, Bulgarian and Colombian markets. In Poland, the car was sold under the Thalia name, while in Asia and Oceania the model was called Clio Classic. The model was known as the Clio Sedan in South America (except Columbia).
The current generation of the Symbol was introduced at the 2008 Moscow Auto Show. It is underpinned by the Clio II’s platform, but Renault has decided to separate the two cars in terms of interior and exterior design. The car’s current engine line-up includes three economy-orientated units: two versions of the 1.5 dCi diesel (a 65HP one and an 85HP one) and a 1.2 liter 75HP petrol. Equipped with any of these engines, the Symbol qualifies for the Renault eco2 signature - the French manufacturer’s “green” line.
