Renault revealed pricing and specification for the highly-anticipated Clio Renaultsport 220 Trophy that we got to see in the metal during Geneva Motors Show 2015.
Every hothatch has a price for its fun-inducing capabilities, and Renault has just published pricing info for their Clio R.S. 220 Trophy. In the UK, order books are now open, and deliveries are expected to kick-off in August as the Clio R.S. 220 Trophy will be available for a sticker of £21,780 (30,105 euros at current exchange rates).
For this kind of money, clients will get the special edition on top of the Clio R.S. range fitted with a larger turbocharger and revised mapping compared with the 200 models, boosting the output of the 1.6-liter direct-injection turbo engine by 20 horsepower (10 percent) and 20 Nm (14 lb-ft) to 220 horsepower and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft).
However, those behind the steering wheel can get an additional 20 Nm of torque (15 lb-ft) via the ‘Torque Boost’ feature in fourth and fifth gears.
You can have the 220 Trophy in Frost White, Glacier White, Deep Black, Flame Red and Liquid Yellow. For the Frost White color scheme, clients can opt for a gloss black roof and rear spoiler, but that's going to cost them £1,300 (1,796 euros at current exchange rates).
Inside, standard amenities include a leather steering wheel and carbon-look air-vent surrounds, door handles and gear lever base plate. If that's not enough for your ambitions, feel free to choose the heated leather ‘Trophy’ sports seats with integrated headrests, available as a £1,600 (2,211 euros) option.
Other standard features include the Renault R-Link system featuring a connected multimedia tablet, 7-inch touch-screen, voice control, TomTom LIVE satellite navigation, a DAB radio with 2 x 35W speakers, Bluetooth music streaming and hands-free telephone operation.
