What has five doors and is brand new? Not this thing, it’s just an old Clio II with the face borrowed from the model that’s just been shown in Paris. The II was a good little car at its time, but that was a long time ago, since it was sold in Europe between 1998 and 2005.
But for the South American market it’s as good as new! The strange creating you see here is called the Clio Mercosur and it will be shown for the first time at the Sao Paulo Motor Show, held in the Brazilian capital from October 24 to November 4.

If you think it looks bad in these pictures, you haven’t seem the real wold ones we brought you back in September. So what’s the damage? Well, the mirrors are too small and look like Shrek’s ears, the nose is much too long and badly designed and the back is iffy.

On one hand, you’ve got fog lights that are there... but aren’t in some of the shots, so we’ll call them faux lights, and an equally faux diffuser at the back. All this is strange because these are supposed to be press photos showing the car in the best light. The ally wheels the snazzy paint, the sporty body kit and the racing stripes are all optional.
