Renault Clio Campus.com Launched, Priced at 9,999 Euros

Renault has just unveiled the latest Clio Campus, the so-called Campus.com, a model especially addressed to young drivers buying their first car, as the company said in a statement. The new car is based on the Dynamique equipment level and could bring the customer a save of up to 24 percent, depending on the engine. Orders have already become available on April 30, only for the French market.

Clio Campus.com will become available via a new website that allows visitors to configure their own model and forward it to a Renault dealership. They will be then contacted by Renault's employees to finalize the transaction, the French manufacturer explained the whole process in a release.

Built on the same platform as Renault II, the car boasts an impressive lineup of standard features, including body color front and rear bumpers, foglamps incorporated in the front bumper, side protective mouldings, door handles and tailgate trim. Inside, the Campus.com comes with bucket seats, black-and-silver interwoven-pattern cloth upholstery, leather-trimming for the steering wheel and gearlever knob, red instrument needles and satin-finish chrome details.

Manual climate control, electric front windows and exterior mirrors, a trip computer and a height-adjustable driver's seat and 2x20W radio-CD with remote display are also included in the newly-launched range.

In terms of pricing, the Renault Clio Campus.com starts at 9,999 euros (CO2 emissions of 140 g/km) and goes as high as 12,899 euros for the dDCI 85 Renault eco configuration that produces 111 g/km.
