After six or seven years of ownership, you ask yourself "why did I buy the Astra John Bon Jovi special edition?" But for now, the Twingo Color Run seems like a good idea.
Renault has partnered up with THE COLOR RUN for the event that will happen this weekend. Not only that, but it's built a special car just for the occasion. With a bubbly personality and squeaky clean city car reputation, the Twingo seems like a good fit.
During the June 12th event, Renault will back the Yellow Color Zone, where people will get their immaculate white T-shirts colored like sunflowers. However, another tone was chosen for the Twingo, a light blue. However, customers can choose any one of the factory colors and combine it with the custom graphics, along with the Exterior Touch Pack and Interior Style Pack.
The Color Run special edition is based on the Twingo Play trim level and is only going to be available with one engine, the basic one. We are referring to a 3-cylinder 1-liter unit producing 70 PS. Renault says that it's good for 56.6 mpg UK combined (equivalent to 5 l/100km) and will emit 112 grams per kilometer.
Setting you back for at least £10,495 on-the-road in the UK, the Twingo special edition offers a saving of £800 over a similarly specified model. That's got to be the main reason to buy it, considering there aren't any unique features.
Standard features include the R&GO application that turns compatible smartphones into an infotainment system... because you don't have one, air-con, DAB tuner with Bluetooth, USB, and AUX. It also comes with 15-inch alloy wheels a fabric folding sunroof and bespoke floor mats.
In other Twingo news, Renault revealed the Twingo GT model with a tuned 0.9-liter engine. Looks like this is a good week to be a fan of city cars with the engine at the back!
