Remus Says It Can Install an Exhaust Faster than a Girl Can Get Dressed

Since this is a very dull Thursday, we might as well have a throwback moment and check out a couple of funny clips from 2011. Back then, Volkswagen was still selling the Golf 6 R, a slightly softer flavor of the AWD beast we have today which had only had 272 hp. In case owners ever needed more power, an exhaust company named Remus decided to offer a custom system.

This used larger downpipes and a sport catalyst to reduce back pressure. It all sounds very normal, very standard, but the way in which they promoted the system is the exact opposite of normal.

Rather than simply showing a video of how the exhaust sounds, they decided to do a low budget commercial that probably shouldn't have been made, yet is very entertaining to watch anyway. It's called Remus: Ready in 15 Minutes and suggests swapping blowpipes on the Golf R takes less time than a woman needs to get dressed for a fun night out.

While the mechanic unscrews the factory system, she takes a shower and by the time she finishes her makeup, her handsome German knight has arrived in his hot hatch chariot, fresh exhaust included. They've even made a version for the superbike fans, which you can watch below.

Funny thing is that Remus isn't technically lying. Even if the bolts are rusted and it takes twice as much time to change the exhaust, no woman in this world ever got ready for a night out in only 30 minutes. Am I right? Come on!
