Remote-Controlled Licence Plate Holde Hides at a Press of a Button

The internet is full of videos with riders who speed or wreak havoc ignoring speed cameras and the surveillance ones as well, fully confident that no one will ever get to them, thanks to missing or folded/ hidden registration plates.
Now, riding without a license plate or with one that can't be seen is not exactly legal, and most of the states have rather harsh penalties for this type of crime. Well, it looks like the riders with a mind bent on speeding without being identified make a good market for contraptions that mix law and breaking it.

A bike without a license plate or with one that is improperly installed will attract the cops' attention on spot, and the rider can get a fine without even speeding or performing stunts in traffic.

On the other hand, a plate that looks casual and that sits where it's supposed to and at the right angle is far less conspicuous because it depicts... normality.

However, the device in the video below hides a secret, and whoever gets closer to the bike has good odds of finding what it is. The license plate holder is mounted on a hinge, with small motors that rotate it out of sight.

The contraption is fairly easy to detect if you're not a complete noob. What's interesting is the fact that it is remote controlled, and can therefore, be actuated during riding at any time.

To some, it may look like this is a James Bond-grade gimmick, but it can be a very short way to getting fined and having to come up with a lot of explanations in case a police officer spots it. Even such devices are illegal in many countries, and are a clear indicator that those who install them intend to break the law in one way or another.
