It’s pretty clear that most Americans don’t buy pickup truck to haul pallets every day, as the regular cab ones are less and less looked for.
Getting a pickup is mostly a fad, to have a huge vehicle that accommodates at least four passengers and also having an “open boot” to occasionally transport a bedside or a crate of beer without making a mess in the cabin. Either that, or the versatility it offers in a zombie apocalypse, when you can take three buddies, a truckload of weapons and supplies in the back and hurdle through the walkers.

Anyway, due to this fanciness, the real American workmen that need a sturdy, reliable and easy to maintain regular cab pickup might have to search somewhere else, as rumors are that Toyota will drop the two-door Tacoma model. Of course, it will be the Tundra REgular Cab, but that is about $9,000 more than a Tacoma.
