The enhanced 2014 Hyundai Tucson compact SUV will hit US dealerships with a starting price tag set at $21,450, not including the $855 destination and handling fee.
Besides getting a few exterior and interior tweaks and updates, the 2014 Hyundai Tucson gained two new direct-injected four-cylinder engines, the “Nu” 2.0-liter and the “Theta II” 2.4-liter. The first delivers 164 HP and 151 lb-ft of torque, while the latter is good for 182 HP and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Other changes include standard Blue Link and Hyundai Assurance Connected Care on the Tucson Limited, which starts at $27,700, new navigation system with seven-inch touchscreen and HD Radio technology, standard Bluetooth and 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen audio with rearview camera.
New exterior upgrades include projector headlamps, LED taillights, roof side rails with panoramic sunroof and new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheels, while interior enhancements bring standard tilt and telescopic steering wheel, new interior colors (beige, brown), cupholder illumination and standard steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls.
