Redline Chevy Camaro ZL1: Quarter Mile Record

The Camaro ZL1 is a relatively new car, and the automotive world hasn’t yet adjusted to the idea of a musclecar becoming an out-and-out track machine.
Yet one tuned version has begun standing out from the pack ever since its customization began. It’s the ZL1 created by Redline Motorsports. We know that they’ve gotten the V8, usually packing 580 hp and 556 lb-ft (754 Nm) of torque, all the way up to 750 horsepower. This was done using a custom set of sports cam shafts that stay open for longer, some electronics wizardry and a new cold air system to improve the flow.

On the track, the Redline ZL1 managed to set a new quarter mile record of 10.32 at 134 miles per hour. The record run was clocked at the Palm Beach International Raceway.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
