Redesigned Bugatti Centodieci Has Conformist Front End, Is Plain Wrong

It's no surprise that the Bugatti Centodieci has split opinions on social media. It's not just that the polarizing styling of the Molsheim machine is the kind of effect shared with many pieces of art, but we must also mention this is how the Internet works nowadays.

Redesigned Bugatti Centodieci: render
You can be certain that a part of those who complained about the design of this EB110 tribute aren't familiar with the complete tale behind the vehicle and simply show a negative reaction to something that doesn't fall withing the usual lines.

OK, so what can we do about this? Well, while many aficioandos who have the EB110 of the 90s in their heart, myself included, applauded the newcomer, I've brought along a slight redesign of the machine.

As The Sketch Monkey, the digital artist who came up with this rendering, explains, this was done for the fun of it. Note that the pixel wielder doesn't claim that this new styling one-ups the factory cues of the Bug, admiting that things are the other way around.

Only the front end of the Centodieci (this means "110" in Italian, by the way) was touched, but this was enough to address the said criticism, as you'll get to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page.

Now, if you wish to skip directly to the end result, you can skip to the 7:44 point of the clip below. However, the entire video is worthy of attention, thanks to both the Photoshop work going on and the artist's explanations.

Now, if there's one way of digitally playing with the $8.9 million (plus tax) Bugatti Centodieci that actually adds value to the 1,600 hp hypercar, this comes in the form of new specs.

So while the white configuration showcased at Pebble Beach somehow conceals the surface play of the vehicle, there are multiple renders that change this by portraying the monster in various color schemes. And here are some examples for you: 1, 2, 3.

Of course, the lucky dieci who got their hands on the Chiron-based special will come up with their own specs and I can't wait to see these once the newcomer starts reaching its buyers in 2021.
