Red Lexus LFA Lands in Costa Rica

We've seen it in silver, orange and even yellow, but this is the first time we get a change to see Toyota's take at the super car segment, the LFA, getting a red paint job. And what a sight it is...

The model you see here has been purchased by Javier Quiros, a former Gazoo Racing Team driver who had the chance to experience the Nurburgring track a few years in the past. And from those racing years of his Quiros got some inspiration.

You see, when you pay in excess of $375,000 for a car, the dealer does not simply hand you the keys and send you on your way. If you have $375,000 to pay for a car, then that means you are special, and a special treatment is required.

Quiros, a man who has been racing in vehicles wearing the No. 14 on the bodies for years, had one strange desire: that the Lexus LFA he bought be the car no. 14 in the Toyota production line. And Toyota complied.

Otherwise, the model is your regular LFA, if one can say that. The model packs 4.8l V8 engine, developing a 553 hp at 8,700 rpm and 480 Nm of torque at 6,800 rpm. Paired to a six-speed automated sequential gearbox, the super car claims the naught to sixty sprint in 3.7 seconds, with the top speed rated at 325 km/h (202 mph).

For Quiros, the interior of the car comes in black leather with red stitches, making it an ideal match to the exterior. More in the video below.
