The Red Bull Romaniacs tournament is becoming tougher and more interesting with each passing edition, and it draws the top endure riders to the heart of Transilvania, pitting their bikes and skills against some of the toughest natural and man-made obstacles.

And to get a better idea of what the Romaniacs tournament means, I’ll add that the event is already sold out, with all the 350 available entries already booked since mid-January 2014. Entries will be grouped in four classes: Iron, Bronze, Silver and Gold, with distances ranging between 375 and 568 km (233-353 miles) and completing times between 17 and 23 hours, respectively. Riders have to complete between 100 and 200 km (62-124 miles) for each day of the tournament, and to make things even more thrilling, here’s what the Romaniacs say: “There will be two overnight bivouacs outside Sibiu this year - to offer fantastic new trails that have never seen an Enduro bike before! In four days riders will have to pass more than 27.000 altitude meters!”
