Since putting Ferrari badges on Lamborghini is nothing new (no, really, here's an example of such a stunt), there's something else you can do to turn heads: you can give a Mercedes-AMG GT R a Red Bull wrap.
Yes, the GT R we have here started out as a rendering, but that was only to explore the look of the wrap, so the machine finally received it in the real world.
The Merc belongs to YouTuber Salomondrin (you might be familiar with his name over the smoking McLaren Senna incident), who explains he did this to match the look of the Super Formula racecar of his mate Patricio O’Ward. The latter is a Red Bull Junior Team member, while the racing series we're talking about takes place in Japan.
Of course, with the said vlogger living in Los Angeles, the Afflaterbach toy will get plenty of attention, even though those who aren't up to speed with the motorsport rivalry between the two brands might be impressed by the sheer look of the wrap.
The Beast Of The Green Hell (this is the official nickname of the GT R) also features a set of custom wheels acting as an attention magnet, while its banana-colored brake calipers now match the Red Bull racing suit of the machine.
So while the first social media post below shows the transition from rendering to reality, you can head over to the posts below it to zoom in on the connection between the supercar and the racecar.
Of course, there will be plenty of purists wishing to jump aboard the fretting train when coming across this second skin job. Then again, we have to keep in mind that a wrap is a reversible mod. And the same can be said about the new shoes of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 machine.
