Red Bull Joins Traxxas TORC Series for 2011

The Traxxas TORC Series is known as the world’s fastest, most punishing short course racing series and Red Bull has officially joined as a series partner. The deal will be bringing further exposure to the series by distributing TORC’s The Off-Road Championship TV show to markets around the world.

Through its own media network, Red Bull will begin offering the 2010 TORC season to its audiences, followed by the 2011 TORC - The Off-Road Championship TV show that is set to deliver 20 new episodes this year.

"As a driver and 2010 PRO2 Class champion of the TORC Series, I was so impressed with the steps USAC took to make the TORC TV series the best,"
said Rick "RJ" Johnson. "With USAC teaming up with a premium brand like Red Bull, it will be over the top. What Red Bull has done in the energy drink world - as well as in action sports - they will do the same in global broadcasting with the TORC Series."

"TORC has an amazing opportunity with Red Bull to deliver what we feel is the world's greatest off-road short course racing experience to a new and much wider audience. Not only will this benefit the rest of our series sponsors, drivers, teams and their sponsors, it will no doubt increase TORC's fan base as we continue to expand the series,”
added United States Auto Club (USAC) President Kevin Miller. “We look forward to working closely with Red Bull over the next three years on this thrilling new international TV distribution deal featuring the TORC product and the world’s No. 1 energy drink.”

Red Bull also confirmed it will continue to sponsor the TORC Menzies Team featuring Pro2 Champ Ricky "RJ" Johnson, Bryce Menzies and RJ's son, Luke Johnson.
