A while back BMW unveiled 4 of the liveries the new M4 DTM model will wear this season in the competition, the remaining 4 being scheduled for a later reveal. That time has come and the new cars look absolutely brilliant.
Two of them are new and two will carry on from last year. Augusto Farfus and Marco Wittmann will keep going with the same liveries, the former being sponsored by the Castrol EDGE team this year too while the latter will be wearing the Ice-Watch livery.
The rookie, Antonio Felix da Costa will be getting behind the wheel of an M4 decorated with Red Bull vinyls while Maxime Martin will be driving the SAMSUNG BMW M4 DTM in 2014.
“I am now entering my third season together with my partner Castrol EDGE. The bright colours have been very lucky for me so far, and I hope I can represent them well again in 2014,” said Farfus at the unveiling that took place on the Hungaroring, at one of the last official tests before the start of the season.
That was a great first year in the DTM for me. Hopefully we will see the Ice-Watch design at the front of the field more regularly this season. That is certainly my goal,” said Wittmann that managed to win Rookie of the Year in 2013.
“I am delighted to be able to race in Red Bull colours again this year, and that I can still count on their support in the DTM,” said Félix da Costa. “Red Bull has been associated with the ultimate success in motorsport for years, and I feel a part of this family. After my initial tests in the BMW M4 DTM, I am confident that I can also be successful for the combination of Red Bull and BMW Motorsport.”
