Red Bull F1 Game for iPhone

The next few months will probably be the longest for all you Formula One gamers out there, as the end of 2009 will bring an exclusive racing game for the iPhone and iPod platforms. As announced by US company Artificial Life earlier this week, the new game will feature only Red Bull Racing cars and drivers as a result of a 2-year agreement between them and the Austrian energy drink company.

The game that is to be released “near the end of 2009” will give every Formula One fan the chance to race either as Mark Webber or Sebastian Vettel – they are both Grand Prix winners starting the Nurburgring race this year – at the wheel of a Red Bull RB5.

We are excited to work on yet another exciting Red Bull-sponsored racing title following the successful Red Bull Air Race World Championship game we released earlier in the year. Racing has been one of the most popular genres in video game history. We are dedicated to making this latest Red Bull title a challenging and fun gaming experience,” said Eberhard Schoneburg, CEO of Artificial Life, Inc.

This is the first F1-related project sustained by Artificial Life, a leading, full-service provider of mobile broadband 3G technology, mobile participation TV, mobile gaming, and content and business applications.

As far as Red Bull is concerned, our guess is that the Milton Keynes-based team's great success during the ongoing season has certainly helped them become the most reasonable pick for partners AL. RBR has won 3 races this season – which is 3 races more than they've won ever since they first debuted in Formula One in 2005 – while having both drivers in the title fight for the remaining rounds of 2009.
