With the latest delivery pushback, the Jeep Wrangler must have hoped it would have a few more months left before it would start running into the Bronco everywhere it went, but this particular JKU wasn't that lucky.
It makes a lot more sense for the pair to meet up on a trail or in the desert, but here they are parked on hard pavement in front of a few fast-food restaurants. Not that we're complaining or anything, we'll take any chance we get to see these two off-roaders side by side for a more detailed comparison.

This one is a bit flawed, however. That's because while the two vehicles very kindly matched colors, they didn't do the same in other areas that matter more. For one thing, the Wrangler is the older, JKU version, and even though we know how little Jeep's classic changes from one generation to the next, it still would have been nice to see its latest offering.

Secondly, the Wrangler Unlimited seems to sport a lifted suspension as well as larger off-road tires. People who know more about these things than we do say we're looking at a two-inch (51-mm) lift and 315 tires, which may not be the most extreme mods, but they're enough to give the Jeep the tiniest edge.

The Race Red 2021 Ford Bronco Wildtrak (with the optional graphics package) isn't far behind either. Since the Wildtrak comes equipped with the Sasquatch Package, that means it gets pretty beefy 35-inch tires of its own. Still, the much larger gap between the wheels and the fender makes the Jeep seem like the more capable vehicle off-road, even though it might only be a visual thing.

The Wildtrak also sports the black soft top we've seen before, a feature its driver didn't probably enjoy too much given it looks like it was a rainy night in Michigan when the pictures were taken by Bronco6G user Mikebrent01. Still, a lot of people will find more pleasure in using this feature next summer, which is also when deliveries for the all-new Bronco are scheduled to start. Just to be clear, we're not suggesting the Bronco's soft top is leaky, just that it's not as well soundproofed as a hardtop.

Perhaps the most important thing we can take away from this picture is that there's plenty of room for both of these models in the off-road community and that, in most cases, it will all come down to personal preference and brand loyalty, and not the actual abilities of the vehicle.
