Bigger scale things may be popular these days, with Jurassic World becoming a blast in theaters, the latest Transformers installment breaking the charts in China and so on. But there are other companies on this planet that still trust that good things come in small packages. Take these Japanese toy makers, who set the Guinness World Record for the world’s tiniest RC recently. Now, they’re back with something even better.
In case you missed the news, Japanese arcade, mobile and home video game publisher Bandai Namco is the one to create the world’s smallest Radio Controlled aircraft. First they created the Nano-Falcon back in 2014, which was later followed by an even smaller model called Pico-Falcon. We’re talking about a 46 mm (1.81 inch) long RC helicopter that you fly with an infrared controller that is, in fact, bigger in size.
The point is they decided to use the same technology to create something that we simply had to share with you people. Call us fanboys, but when it comes to Star Wars memorabilia the dormant kid within awakens. We’re not saying that we’d buy the set for us, but it will sure make for a hell of a gift for any kid. Let’s take a closer look, though.
Not only do you get the remote control X-Wing, TIE Fighter, and Millennium Falcon in mini-size, but all include wireless controllers that double as charging bases. How cool is that, right?
It’s cool enough, but it’s also something you need, considering that these puppies are so small their batteries won’t last for more than four minutes in the air. On the other hand, it does take only about three minutes to get the e-juice needed for another lift off. Moreover, you’re going to have to keep them close since each craft has a range of about 16 feet (4.8 meters).
Considering the retail price is $50 each, we believe it’s probably one of the coolest Star Wars toys that will soon be available. I guess we’re going to have to wait until August when they hit the market, to find out though.
