Record Aston Martins Parade in Antwerp

One of the company’s two dealerships in Belgium celebrated 25 years of business this week with a record parade of some 215 Aston Martins at the famous Spa Francorchamp circuit in Belgium.

There have been over 500 Aston Martin owners and Historic Aston Martin Cub members attending the event, who have also been treated with an exclusive preview of the One-77 supercar.

The One-77 boasts a 7.3l naturally-aspirated V12 powerplant, able of developing some 700 horsepower, which allows the supercar to reach a top speed of over 200 mph (321.8 km/h) and a naught to sixty acceleration time of only 3.5 seconds.

The parade included a wide array of sports cars from the British marque’s history including iconic models such as the DB4, the DB5 - which have been made famous thanks to an appearance alongside James Bond in Goldfinger - the DB6 and the Zagato.

Joining the aforementioned models were a number of modern era classics such as the Vanquish V8 Vantage, DB9, DBS and the company’s latest offering, the V12 Vantage.

“You and your team have built a strong and successful business and have greatly contributed to strengthening the Aston Martin brand in Belgium over the last 25 years,” said Marcel Beci, General Manager of Aston Martin Lagonda of Europe commented on Rene Michiels, Dealer Principal of Aston Martin Antwerp, and his team, in a statement for the press.

“One of the things we enjoy most about working with this brand is that you meet so many different people with interesting stories. Our clients are all hard-working people who also understand what Aston Martin stands for and who take great pleasure in their cars,”
added Rene Michiels in the same statement.
